About Us

Mission Statement & Core Values

To be the first choice of our customers and employees.

Performance-Driven
We recognize, appreciate, and reward high quality performers.
Leave a Positive Legacy
We take pride in what we do, the relationships we build, and our impact on our customers and employees.
Financial Responsibility
Our decisions ensure success, longevity, and stability for our organization and employees.

Nightingale Electrical Ltd has grown from where it began in the basement of founder Doug Nightingale’s home in 1984 and the company is currently located in an 8,000 square foot facility.

Our consistent and steady growth is the result of careful business planning, creating and maintaining lasting relationships, and building a diverse construction, commercial, and residential portfolio. We pride ourselves on our solid reputation and dedication in delivering high-quality work while always paying close attention to value.

Our many partnerships have allowed Nightingale to work on some of the most high profile construction and commercial projects in Greater Vancouver. These include:

  • Multi-family wood frame townhouses
  • Multi-use commercial and residential towers, including low, mid and high-rise buildings
  • Industrial, commercial warehouses, and office towers
  • Tenant improvements
  • Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)
  • Residential home services
  • Commercial maintenance services
  • Design-build and special projects

Our 24-hour on-call service department compliments our construction department, providing warranty maintenance and upgrade work for our valued customers.

I’m serious about ensuring that everyone involved in a construction project, whether it’s a wood-frame house or something the size of Shangri La, is happy at the end of the day.

Doug Nightingale, Founder and CEO

Community Engagement

We have been a strong supporter of local charities and service clubs. Richmond Sunrise Rotary Club and The Richmond Hospital Foundation are two of the larger commitments we have made. We also provide BC Lions tickets to the RCMP to support their ‘On Side’ program for teens. We are active members of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce as well.

Community engagement is important and we will continue to do our part.
