The Role

Our Service Department has been growing steadily and we would welcome a motivated, organized, and experienced Electrician to manage small service projects and help our department continue to develop as a leader with the Electrical Service Industry.  

As a Service Project Manager, you will be a member of our Electrical Service Team operating out of our Head Office in Richmond. You will spend approximately 50% of your time in the field quoting work and building relations with customers, and 50% of your time in the office managing work.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Provide electrical quotations for customers
  • Estimate, budget and manage quoted work
  • Provide pricing for change orders
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and new customers
  • Follow up with current and past projects
  • Assist in acquiring permits for work that you manage
  • Call for service inspections when required
  • Provide labour schedules for quoted work
  • Issue lot purchase orders
  • Work with our dispatcher to allocate manpower to jobs
  • Contribute to weekly service meetings
  • Provide billing to Accounting for all projects
  • Provide technical support for Technicians and service staff
  • Assist with technical terminology for our call centre staff regarding inbound service calls


  • Red Seal Journeyman Ticket
  • FSR – must obtain within 3 months of start date
  • At least 5 years working as a Journeyman Electrician in the field (10 years + preferred)
  • Experience leading a team (as Lead Hand or Foreman)
  • Field experience in residential, commercial, and high rise buildings
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Excel and Outlook
  • Administration skills as you efficiently organize service schedules, parts, and equipment
  • Self-starter with ability to learn quickly
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to quickly and efficiently prioritize tasks for yourself and others
  • Ability to deal with a variety of practical and unforeseen problems and situations, often under stressful situations
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, developing positive work relationships with coworkers, technicians, customers, and suppliers to produce quality customer service
  • Experience quoting electrical projects is an asset
