Human Resources Generalist

The Role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to run the day to day people and culture activities. You will be the sole HR practitioner and will have a generous amount of autonomy and decision-making abilities.

You are self-motivated, driven, and action-oriented. You should have experience in all generalist areas of HR (recruitment, training and development, compensation, occupational health and safety, organizational development, etc.) with strong knowledge of employment standards and other legal bodies.

Your top priority will be hiring and retaining great staff and advising senior management on methods to ensure NEL is a great place to work.

You enjoy conversing with people and building lasting connections, but you also have a “let’s get it done” attitude. You strive to challenge the status quo and feel that things can always be improved.

What You Bring to the Table

  • HR diploma or degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an HR generalist capacity
  • CPHR is an asset
  • Self-motivated and able to self-direct and delegate
  • Creative and always looking to improve the status quo
