Lead Hand / Foreman Electrician

Lead Hands or Foreman are responsible for leading a team of electricians in a range of electrical duties.

Position: Lead Hand / Foreman
Report to: Project Manager

Location: Vancouver/Lower Mainland


As a lead hand or foreman electrician, you will be responsible for leading a team of electricians in a range of electrical duties including planning, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. You will report directly to the Project Manager and will be tasked with ensuring that each facet of a project is handled successfully from start to finish. Our work consists mainly of wood frame complexes/apartment buildings, high-rise buildings, and commercial work.

Required Qualifications

  • Journeyman certificate and/or inter-provincial Red Seal certificate
  • Proficient in academic and practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Experience running at least 1 job as a foreman or lead hand
  • Good communication skills, very strong grasp of the English language in both spoken and written word
  • Solid work ethic and aptitude for problem solving and planning
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Nightingale’s Health & Safety Policies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experience using PDF Exchange Viewer
  • Experience running high-rise jobs
  • Computer proficient – Outlook, Word, Excel
