Customer Service Representative

Location:                  Richmond, BC

Hours/Week:            40, Monday – Friday, 8AM – 430PM

Job Status:               Full Time

The Role:

Nightingale Electrical is looking for a motivated Customer Service Representative to join the Service team. The majority of this role includes answering phone calls, directing Service Technicians to sites throughout the Lower Mainland and generating leads.

The ideal candidate will be computer proficient and have great people and phone skills. Being proficient in English, relatively easy-going and sales-driven is essential.

Nightingale Electrical is a local, large-sized electrical contracting company. We employ upwards of 200 electricians and 20 office staff, and we are steadily growing. We have been in the business for 35 years, and pride ourselves on our company reputation for delivering reliable, quality work.

Some of our most recognized jobs include the Shangri-La hotel in downtown Vancouver, the Aldergrove Recreation Centre and the Pacific Autism Facility. Chances are you’ve seen many of our residential high-rise buildings, and maybe even live in one of them! Our projects include River Green Residences near the Oval in Richmond, River District Town Centre and many more.

Main Duties:

  • Answer and direct phone calls to Service PMs and Techs
  • Serve as key contact and liaison for customers to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • See that every customer experience meets quality standards as defined by the customer
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ensure timely responses to customers
  • Handle all written correspondence received from customers, and reply in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the prompt handling of all customer service requests, including pricing, order entry, billing, maintenance and credit
  • Various other administrative tasks

You Are/Have:

  • 2 + years of office experience in sales
  • Personable and friendly; professional phone etiquette
  • High attention to detail, and ability to focus and complete work in a timely manner
  • Extremely organized
  • Computer proficient – Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Experience with Sage Service Management is a plus
  • Solid work ethic, responsible, trustworthy, and punctual
  • Fluently speak, read and write in English
  • Excellent communication skills
